Rebuilding this site

The old Visual Finesse site was published in January 2023 and had been sitting on a Webflow staging URL ever since. The local export I had was from 2020 and contained two sections.

What the export missed

Everything. The HTML pointed at Webflow's CDN rather than at local files, so the download was a skeleton: markup and stylesheets, no images, no Lottie files, no fonts beyond what 2020 had needed.

The part I got wrong

I assumed the animations were CSS. They were not. The 2023 stylesheet contains exactly one @keyframes rule, and it drives a loading spinner. Every scroll-linked movement on that site, all 102 bound elements, was Webflow Interactions 2.0: a JSON description of actions, executed by a 737KB runtime that requires jQuery.

Reimplementing that choreography in plain CSS and a small scroll observer costs about three kilobytes. That is not a criticism of the original. It is what happens when you get to read your own work six years later with the answer already in front of you.
